Lecture de poèmes de poche

Espace vide. Une chemise, une veste et un manteau suspendus au mur.
Je les enfile. De l’une des poches, je sors un petit bout de papier plié. Sur celui-ci fi gurent quelques mots. Je les lis à haute voix. Je déplie une première fois le papier : le texte continue - à chaque pli, un vers. Pour poursuivre la lecture, il faut déplier, encore, et encore. Le morceau de papier passe bientôt de quelques cm² à plusieurs m².
À chaque poche, un nouveau texte.
Parfois tautologiques, les poèmes renvoient à la fois aux gestes de celui qui les manipule, à la situation qui en découle, et à d’autres récits sur lesquels ils ouvrent.
À mesure de la lecture, les poches se vident, et l’espace se remplit des poèmes déployés. |

A reading of pocket poems
Performance, 2018, 15'
Empty space. Hanging on the wall, a shirt, a jacket and a coat.
I put them on. From one of the pockets, I take a small folded paper out. Upon which, some words are written. I read them out loud. I unfold the paper: the text continues – on each fold, a line. To continue reading I need to unfold the paper, over and over, until the end of the text. Soon the small paper reaches several square meters.
In each pocket there is a new poem.
At times tautological, the texts refer to the gestures which manipulate them, to the situation which is created, and to the other readings which they open onto.
As the reading progresses, the performer’s pockets gradually empty, and the space fi lls with the unfolded papers.
