L’ombre d’un doute

Au travers de légers tremblements dans les lignes, la texture flottante des choses qu'elle donne à voir, cette installation instaure un trouble entre le réel et sa représentation, entre le matériel et l'immatériel, dessinant une infra-scénographie, une dramaturgie de l’infime.
Nous sommes ici en présence à la fois d'un moment passé, capturé par la photographie et de l’instant précis où nous regardons cet objet, dans son présent le plus immédiat. Superposées, les deux temporalités se chevauchent, s’entremêlent, se télescopent en permanence – l'interstice de la porte entrebâillée ouvrant sur celui du temps, sur des questions de perception, et de représentation.

Through slight tremors in the lines, the floating texture of the things it shows, this installation blurs the distinction between the real and its representation, between the material and the immaterial, drawing an infra-scenography, a dramaturgy of the infinitesimal.
We are here in the presence two moments: a past, as captured by the photograph, and the precise moment when we look at this object in its most immediate present. Superimposed, the two temporalities overlap, intermingle and zoom in and out permanently – the gap of the ajar door opening onto that of time, onto questions of perception and representation.
