The pictures in this series are taken from Elephant, a short film by Alan Clarke shot in 1989 for the BBC. The screenplay of this film who talked, at the time, about the Troubles in Northern Ireland as, «the elephant in our living room». Among others, Elephant inspired Gus Van Sant to make his film of the same name. |
