For the Spanish artist and performer Loreto Martínez Troncoso, the words and the voices are spaces for negotiation with the world. Her performances are fluid, rhythmic, replete with overflowing texts that explode syntax. For Short Theatre 2021 she speaks, whispers, moans, holds her breath, exclaims, and ultimately disorganizes the ego system in favour of the rhythmic polyphony that vibrates in every voice.
She tries to hear what is audible/inaudible before, after and between words.

In her explorations, the Spanish artist Loreto Martínez Troncoso investigates the bodily event that is the voice, penetrating and infiltrating between words, investigating what motivates them, exploring their time, rhythm and silence. Words carry with them what the voice has destined for them. |
