Mes sculptures d’os de poulet de batterie viennent de cette surconsommation qui ne permet pas, tant aux végétaux qu’aux animaux de grandir à leurs rythmes naturels.
Cet animal pas encore terminé où la chair se laisse rapidement déshabiller fait apparaître des petits os qui n’ont pas fini de grandir. Je vais les nettoyer par manducation, créant un lien d’échange presque sensuel, puis les laisser sécher. Par la suite assemblés et sculptés délicatement, car très friables, ils deviennent sculpture et ainsi perdure d’avantage dans le temps.
Je souligne l’importance de l’alimentation et de leur préparation qui nous renvoie à la liturgie ancienne ; où le plaisir de la table, moment de convivialité nous reliait aussi aux puissances de la nature.

My bone sculptures made from battery chickens come from this overconsumption which doesn’t allow things, whether vegetable or animal, to grow at their natural rhythm.
This animal not yet complete whose skin is easily undone lets little bones which haven’t finished growing appear. I clean them by hand, creating an almost sensual exchange, then leave them to dry. They are then assembled and delicately sculpted, for they are very fragile. They become sculpture and thus last longer in time.
I stress the significance of nourishment and their preparation which recalls an ancient liturgy ; where the pleasures of the table, this moment of conviviality, bound us to the forces of nature.
