Mené en collaboration avec l’entreprise GINGER-CEBTP DÉMOLITION comme un laboratoire de recherche, Crash Box se structure sous la forme d’un Atelier de l’Euroméditerranée dans le cadre du programme de Marseille Provence 2013.
La production et la coordination du projet sont assurées par l’association Sextant et Plus.
Le site internet www.crash-box.fr a bénéficié du DICRéAM (Dispositif pour la Création Artistique Multimédia) du CNC en 2011.
Marseille Provence 2013
Les Ateliers de l’EuroMéditerranée constituent le projet central de Marseille-Provence 2013 Capitale Européenne de la Culture. Ils visent à constituer, sur le territoire de Marseille-Provence, une plateforme de production d’œuvres engageant les efforts de l’ensemble des acteurs de la société civile : entreprises, établissements publics et associations. Sur la base de coproductions d’œuvres, il s’agit de mettre en place des résidences d’artistes qui sont autant d’espaces de travail, de production et d’échanges pour des créateurs de toutes disciplines artistiques, installés progressivement et durablement dans les entreprises et institutions publiques du territoire de 2010 à 2013. Les œuvres produites dans le cadre des Ateliers de l’EuroMéditerranée seront présentées lors des différentes manifestations qui se dérouleront sur le territoire de Marseille-Provence en 2013.

GINGER-CEBTP DÉMOLITION
Entreprise d’ingénierie en démolition dont la mission couvre les champs conjugués de l’étude et l’accompagnement dans la conception technique du dispositif audiovisuel, la logistique et l’assistance chantier des équipes de tournage ainsi que la production des films virtuels des démolitions (modélisations 3D).

Association de promotion, de diffusion de l’art contemporain et plateforme de production, Sextant et plus est producteur délégué et coordinateur du projet. L’association est également engagée sur le volet transmission de la proposition artistique.

Marseille Provence 2013
The Euro-Mediterranean ateliers have been central to Marseille-Provence 2013′s European Capital of Culture project since the bid phase. These ateliers aim to support contemporary creation in the Euro-Mediterranean area by building an artistic hub that involves participants throughout the Marseille-Provence region. The ateliers will operate on a coproduction basis : 100 artist residences will be set up in businesses, public structures and the voluntary sector between 2010 and 2013. Designed to last beyond the Capital of Culture year, they will foster creation, production and dialogue in all artistic disciplines. The artwork produced as part of the Euro-Mediterranean ateliers initiative will be presented at events taking place throughout the Marseille-Provence region in 2013.

GINGER-CEBTP DÉMOLITION
A company of engineers specialized in demolition work, whose contract includes the study and establishment of the technical conditions necessary to conduct the audiovisual aspects of this projects, providing the logistics and assistance required on the work site for the video filming as well as the production of the virtual films of the demolitions (3D models).

Association for the promotion and transmission of contemporary artwork and also a production platform, Sextant is also the deputy director and coordinator of this project. The association is also in charge of all the communication of and around this artistic proposition.
