Cette installation vidéo fut d'abord présentée durant la fête des lumières à Lyon pour l'exposition Superflux 2003, organisée par la galerie Roger Tator, puis à Paris et Lille en 2004, à l'intérieur du dispositif itinérant "KLANG" produit par Frédéric Veisen. Il s'agit d'esquisser une approche de la lumière dans ce que les images télévisuelles comme la neige ou un signal analogique brouillé pourraient évoquer d'abstrait. En fait, nous nous trouvons confronté à l'évocation d'une "abstraction télévisuelle en mouvement" où la recherche d'une chimère sémantique se ferait en acceptant de passer par un état contemplatif oscillant entre un délire ornithologique et un "raccourci tant parodique que métaphorique" du film "Poltergeist". Il y a manifestement eu la volonté d'arrêter le regard sur une dimension intermédiaire où la trame sonore se transforme en paysage, lui même se faisant l'écho du médium le produisant. Hang the v-jay..! This video installation was first shown during the fête des lumières in Lyon for the Superflux 2003 exhibition, organized by the Roger Tator Gallery. It was then shown in Paris and Lille in 2004, inside the "KLANG" mobile device produced by Frédéric Veisen. It is a matter of sketching out an approach to the light coming from abstract images such as television static or a scrambled analogical signal. In fact, we are confronted with the suggestion of " a televisual abstraction in motion" where the quest for a semantic chimera becomes possible once one accepts to enter a contemplative state oscillating between ornithological delirium and a "parodic and metaphorical shortcut" of the film "Poltergeist". There is a manifest will to focus the gaze on an intermediate dimension where the soundtrack transforms itself into landscape, the latter acting as the echo of the medium that generates it.
